What Are Injectable Dermal Fillers?

As we age, we often look for ways keep healthy. Diet and exercise are a great way to keep fit, but many people look for ways keep their outside looking young and fresh. One event that happens to all of us as we age is the formation of wrinkles. There are many products on the market that either cover up or reduce wrinkles. Juvederm: This dermal filler is made from a natural occurring substance called hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid retains a large amount of moisture and binds with collagen and elastin, delivering nutrients to fibers that maintain and support skin structure. It is used to fill and smooth facial wrinkles and folds.

Restylane: This injectable is made from called hyaluronic acid. Restylane can be used for fine lines around the mouth and lip augmentation. Restylane is made from natural materials.

Perlane: Perlane is an injectable made from a higher concentration of hyaluronic acid. It is used for deep lines around the eyes and mouth and on the forehead. It is also used as an injectable lip enhancer.

CosmoPlast: This filler is made of natural collagen instead of a bovine or animal derived collagen. It is used as a treatment for lines around the mouth, eyes, and on the forehead. It can also be used as a lip augmenter.
Radiance and Radiesse: Radiance and Radiesse are made from natural material that is found in your bones and teeth. It can last from 2 to 5 years.

Sculptura: Also known as New Fill, Sculptura is a hydrogel dermal filler. It is not made of any animal products. The main ingredient is polylactic acid which stimulates collagen growth. It is mostly used for treating facial lipoatrophy, the loss of fat beneath the skin that can result in sunken cheeks, indentations, and hollow eyes.

Minor dermal filler side effects can include a temporary eyelid droop and nausea. There is also a chance of bruising, redness, itching, or swelling at the injection site. As well, there is a low risk of infection or allergic reaction.
Dermal fillers are popular because they are succesful method of eliminating wrinkles.The products are a great choice for people who want to slow the effects of aging.
