Common Anxiety Attack Symptoms

First and foremost, we have to look at the definition of the panic attack, which is defined as a very sudden and a very unpredictable period of intense anxiety, which can become much more serious as the attack gets a hold on you. They include things like a feeling like your stomach is burning, plenty of discomfort as well plenty of cognitive and somatic effects which are unpleasant and sometimes unbearable. There is no way to predict when and where you will be experiencing these attacks, and sometimes, they can even come when you are completely at peace with the world. The order or sequence before an attack is quite the same, where the body will respond to a set of conditions that can or cannot be felt by the individual.

What happens is that the hormones in the body, especially the hormone adrenalin floods the entire body and there is nothing you can do about it. People who have suffered the attack describe it as one of the most frightful and the most horrible feelings in the world, and the horror mainly comes basically from the fact they seem very helpless at doing anything. They have been mistaken for heart attacks, flashing visions and you may even feel like vomiting. Before we discuss the symptoms of the anxiety attacks, there are many triggers and causes that you need to know about.

One of them is that these anxiety attacks are basically down to genetics and that they are passed down from parent to children. So there is nothing that you can really do about it. However, there are some cases in entire families with no sort of history of panic attacks, and then a single person will contract it with no reason whatsoever. Of course, there is also the biological causes that you need to think about – and there are a whole host of diseases and symptoms like hypoglycaemia and thyroid problems that can cause panic attacks. Anyone who has problems with phobias and fears for a long period of time will then be more prone to panic attacks as they would be triggered by fear. Some of them also include things like medications that they are taking, as some of them can trigger the chemical reactions necessary for an onset of a panic attack.

So these are some of the things that can cause anxiety attacks and now we shall look at some of the symptoms. They include a whole host of palpitations, plenty of sweating, shaking, feeling that there is something in your throat. Also, there might be stomach problems, feeling like there is acid reflux in the belly, dizziness and pains in the head. There is also many psychological problems like uncontrollable fear and feeling of being helpless, a fear of dying and hot flushes. During the onset of the attack, your heart will be in overdrive and you feel like you are having a heart attack. These are some of the major symptoms of a panic attack.
